Commuter Assistance

  1. Commuter Bus

    Commuter Bus operates weekdays during morning and evening rush hours, and is managed by private contractors with oversight from the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). Currently, there are 25 routes operating Monday - Friday with the exception of the 201 bus which runs 7 days a week.

  2. Harford Transit Services

    This service is provided by Harford Transit for the General Public and approved for operation by the Maryland Public Service Commission. Use Harford Transit service to travel to Aberdeen, Havre de Grace, Riverside, Edgewood, and Joppatowne. Use Harford Transit service to link up with MTA's Flyer and MARC train service to Baltimore and Washington D.C.

  3. Light Rail

    Light Rail trains operate 10 minutes peak/15 minutes off peak between Timonium and Linthicum and 20-30 minutes between Hunt Valley and Timonium, Linthicum and BWI Marshall Airport, and Linthicum and Cromwell Station/Glen Burnie. The Light Rail Shuttle Train operates every 20-30 minutes between Penn Station and Camden Yards.

  4. Local Bus

    The MTA operates nearly 51 Local Bus lines throughout the Baltimore area. For individual Bus routes and schedule information, call the MTA Transit Information Line at 410-539-5000 or 866-RIDE-MTA (743-3682).

  5. Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) Train

    The MARC Train Service is a commuter rail system whose service areas include Harford County (Maryland), Baltimore City, Washington D.C., Brunswick (Maryland), Frederick (Maryland), and Martinsburg (West Virginia). MARC weekend service is now available on the Penn Line only.
