Students in grades 6th to 8th can register now for Craft the Code – Gaming!

Have you ever been playing your favorite video game, and thought "I could make this so much better?" Join the Google CS First Game Design club to experiment with those ideas and make your own cool video games on the computer. Build a racing game, a maze game, a falling objects game, and more. Invite your friends to play with what you create in the CS First Game Design club. You will register for series of eight classes which will take place Mondays through Thursdays from 4:00 until 5:30 for two weeks.

This series of classes will take place over eight days, from Monday, November 7 – Thursday, November 10 and Monday, November 14 - Thursday, November 17, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. at the Bel Air Library. Registration is free, but participants must commit to attending ALL EIGHT classes. No more than one class can be missed for emergencies. Registration is limited to 10 participants for this special learning experience. Participants are encouraged to bring their own favorite set of headphones.

Participants will meet in the Bel Air Library’s Children's Programming room and learn how to program a computer to make it do what you want it to do. We will learn how to apply computer science skills to create, solve problems, tell stories, and make things happen with technology.

This class is offered in partnership with the Harford County Public Library - Bel Air Branch, please contact them to schedule for classes.
