To assure public
satisfaction with our system, certain 911 calls are selected at random and questionnaires
are sent to the caller's address. The survey asks the caller to rate the speed,
performance, and service of the operator and other agencies involved in the
response. Since 1984, the number of calls into our 911 center has continued to
increase. Training and technology advances are maintained to better serve the demand
for fast, professional assistance in a crisis situation.
A successful 911 education program has reduced the amount of unnecessary calls
to 911. This program focuses on children and teaches them the proper use of 911
through personal communication with a trained 911 operator. A short film is used in
the presentation.
Tours of the new 911 center may be arranged for small education groups by
calling 410-638-3400. |
