When to Call 9-1-1
Do's

911 is to be used only in situations requiring immediate response such as:

  • a fire;
  • medical emergencies;
  • environmental hazards; or
  • crimes in progress.
 Dont's

911 is not to be used for cases such as:

  • noise complaints;
  • barking dogs;
  • complaint follow-ups;
  • burning permits;
  • routine medical transports; or
  • other non-emergency calls .

Please use the non-emergency numbers provided below. You will receive the service you want and not hamper 911 operations for true emergencies.
