The Harford County HAZMAT Team consists of 27 men and women who remain on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to hazardous material emergencies.  Team members are required to maintain their certification as a Hazardous Materials Technician through regular training programs, exercises and drills.  The team responds to approximately 250 calls per year, ranging from investigations of irritating fumes to full scale industrial or transportation accidents.
