| On May 20, 1996, construction was started on our new Emergency Operations
Center. The project was completed in February 1998. Facility space was increase by
11,310 square feet, an additional 7,400 square feet of the facility was renovated for a
total improvement area of 18, 710 square feet. The Emergency Operations Center now
includes:
- Combined Central Facilities Fire/EMS/Police Dispatch and 911
- CISCO Computer Aided Dispatch System
- Improved Security Systems, including video monitoring and scan card system
- Computer Based Radio and Phone Recording System
- Motorola Computer Controlled Radio System
- Computer Projection System links Dispatch Center and EOC during Emergencies
- Dormitory Area to accommodate extended emergencies (Blizzards, Hurricanes)
- Emergency Operations Center Improvements:
Accommodates Staffing of 210 personnel
