    BIRD BANDING AT EDEN MILL

    Bird banding is a universal and indispensable technique for studying the movement, survival and behavior of birds. Eden Mill Nature Center is offering several dates to come and join Mark Johnson as he band birds. No registration is required. Banding will take place at the Joe Vangrin Memorial Pavilion with intermittent walks to check the nets. The following Bird banding dates are tentative and weather permitting: 9/1, 9/6, 9/11, 9/20, 9/26, 10/4, 10/19, 10/25, or 11/1 from 7am – 12noon.

    Eden Mill Nature Trails may be familiar to us during the day, but offer a completely different experience at night. Join us to learn about nocturnal animals, Native Americans, and adaptations that allow you to navigate in the dark night sky. We will utilize sensory awareness experiments for vision, hearing, smell, and feeling, then end the evening with a campfire. Approximately 2 miles.
