A former teacher works to cultivate a child’s natural curiosity through stories, music, crafts, movement and dramatic play.     FULL BEEKEEPER COURSE

    Eden Mill Nature Center will be offering a 7-session Bee Keepers course for adults. There will be seven weeknight sessions on Thursdays: March 6, 13, 20, 27; and April 3, 10, 17 from 7:00-9:00 PM There will also be a Saturday session on April 19th and/or 26th at 10:00 AM in the bee yard. The fee is $70 for members and $80 for nonmembers, which includes books. Instructor and Master Beekeeper Cybil Preston will teach you all you need to know to become a hobbyist beekeeper, from start to finish. You will learn how to establish your own hive, understand the basics of disease and mite management, and learn how to maintain a reduced or chemical free environment for your bees. We will utilize sensory awareness experiments for vision, hearing, smell and feeling, then end the evening with a campfire and smores! Approximately 2 miles. Eden Mill Nature Center will be offering this program on Saturdays: March 15 “Full Moon Hike” from 7:30pm to 9:30pm; April 5 “Night Sky and More” from 7:30pm to 9:30pm; or April 12 “Native American Hike” from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
