The Ma & Pa Dog Park

Ma and Pa Dog Park The Ma & Pa Dog Park is located at the head of the Ma & Pa Trail. It is a fenced-in area with separate facilities for large dogs and small dogs. There is also a gazebo for shade and a doggie water fountain. Pet owners must have their dogs licensed in order to utilize the facility (Call 410-638-3305 to obtain Harford County Dog License). Dogs can be taken off the leash after entering the designated areas and are free to socialize with other dogs under the supervision of their owners. Benches and picnic tables are available within the fenced area and owners must clean up after their dogs. The facility is monitored regularly by the Ma & Pa Trail Monitors and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Town of Bel Air Police Department.

Dog Park Rules

Persons who choose to use the Dog Park as a condition of use agree to the following rules:

  • Harford County is not responsible for injuries to dogs, their owners/handlers, or others that use the Dog Park. This is for dogs and their handlers/owners only.

  • Dogs must be on leash and under control by their owners/handlers at all times outside of the fenced Dog Park.

  • Dog owners/handlers must respect the rights of others to use this area by maintaining control of their pets at all times.

  • All dogs must be healthy, vaccinated, and collared with identification, including valid licenses. Call 410-638-3305 to obtain Harford County dog license.

  • Owners/handlers must remain inside, with leash, within view and voice control of their dog(s) at all times.

  • Owners/handlers must immediately clean up after their dog(s) and properly dispose of waste.

  • Limit of two dogs per adult.

  • Children under six years old are prohibited from entering this area. An adult, who is accountable for their behavior and well being must accompany all children.

  • Dogs in heat and puppies under 4 months of age are prohibited.

  • No smoking or food within fenced area (human or dog).

  • Dog Park gates must be closed immediately after entering or exiting the facility.

  • Excessive barking is prohibited. Dogs barking excessively must be removed.

  • Dogs showing aggression toward people or other animals must be removed from the park.

  • Owners/handlers must stop their dogs from digging and immediately fill any holes dug.

  • Only flying disc and tennis ball type toys are permitted within fenced area.

  • Only small dogs (under 40 lbs.) and older dogs are permitted to use the small dog area.

  • Please report any problems to the park by calling 410-638-3616.

  • Dog Park will be monitored by Ma & Pa Trail Monitors and the Harford County Sheriff*s Office.
