Anita C. Leight Estuary Center is located in southern Harford County on Otter Point Road off of Route 40, just east of Edgewood and is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays Noon to 5:00 p.m. Special public programs such as canoe trips, nature walks, and workshops are held through the Center. A seasonal calendar of events is published four times a year and is available from the Center or www.otterpointcreek.org. A variety of volunteer opportunities exist for both youth and adults. The Otter Point Creek Alliance, Inc., the volunteer support organization, gives the public a chance to take an active role in the Center's functions and to receive numerous benefits. The Anita C. Leight Estuary Center is located in Leight Park and is part of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Maryland.
