Above and Beyond Adventure Programs Ropes Courses/Climbing Wall :

A variety of local amusement park tickets are available for purchase from April until early September. The Amusement Park Ticket information line 410-638-4148 is operational April through early September.
Baseball Fundamentals Clinic - Youth :
March ; Churchville Recreation Center. Instructional program designed to teach young baseball players good sportsmanship & the fundamentals of baseball in hitting, base running, pitching, fielding, & catching. Info: 410-638-3616

Fun with Bingo for individuals with disabilities

Bowling :
This program is a fun-filled, all-American pastime for people with disabilities ages 8 and up. Eight week sessions are scheduled at varied times throughout the year. Info: 410-638-4899
Camp I Can :
A 6-week summer day camp for children and young adults with disabilities (ages 3 - 21) held at John Archer School. Program meets 9:30am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri. Transportation is provided & registration is limited. Info: 410-638-4899.
Croquet Tournament :

Football--Harford/Baltimore Jr./Sr. Program :

Golf - Youth Championship :

John Archer Child Care (JACC) :
This state licensed after school child care program runs Mon-Fri until 3-6pm JACC also operates during Camp I Can. Part-time/full-time care for children with disabilities. Info: 410-638-4899.
Kooky Krafts :
For individuals with disabilities. Have a flair for crafts? This program meets periodically throughout the year and provides an outlet for the artistically inclined. Info: 410-638-4899.
Life Skills :
Cooking, cleaning, self-care, & money-handling skills are offered periodically throughout the year for individuals with disabilities. Info: 410-638-4899
Model Airplane Flying Club :
Ages 8-Adult. Radio/remote controlled planes with airstrip at Swan Harbor Farm. Info: 410-939-6724.
National Youth Sports Administrators Association Clinic (NYSAA) :
The NYSAA is a membership organization for those volunteers responsible for the planning and implementation of recreation programs. The NYSAA works to assist Volunteer Administrators, League Presidents and Board Members in their efforts to set hight standards and provide a safe, positive experience for the youth they serve.
National Youth Sports Coaches Association Certification Program :
Harford County Department of Parks & Recreation has established an official chapter of NYSCA to train its volunteer coaches on the appropriate methods of working with children in sports. Info: 410-638-3616 or 410-638-3853.
Referee Training - Entry Level :
Senior Golf Tournament :
Held each year in late summer at a local golf course with registration being in July/August. Open to all County residents ages 50 and over. Information: 410.638.3528.
Senior Softball :
Grown up kids 47 years of age & up play organized softball. Games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April through July at Magnolia Middle School. Information: 410-612-1608.
Soccer Coaches' Clinics :
Offered each summer for coaches & parents of participants in soccer programs throughout Harford County. Program coordinated through National Soccer Coaches Assn of America or Md State Youth Soccer Assn. Info: 410-638-3616.
Social Time :
This program for young adults and adults with disabilities offers social activities. Social time includes dances and movies.  Info: 410-638-4899.
Softball Skills Camp :

Special Olympics :

Staccatos :

Start Smart Sports Program :
Ages 3-5; Thursday; Year-round; Churchville Recreation Center; Focuses on teaching children & their parents basic sport mechanics (Baseball, Soccer, Basketball, Football, Golf) without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt.
Swanfest :
Sun, Oct 11, 2009, 11am-4pm at Swan Harbor Farm in HdG. Arts & Crafts, live entertainment, hayrides, food & hands-on kid's activities, pumpkins for sale at $1 each. Admission: $5/Car. Info: 410-939-6767.

Tennis - Harford Open Tennis Tournament :

Theatre 4 Everyone :
Is acting in your blood? Theatre 4 Everyone introduces everyone to the rigors of rehearsals and performances. Designed for young adults and adults with disabilities, Theatre 4 Everyone is in session only one or two times per year. For information, please call 410-638-4899.
Travel & Fall Softball Girls' 13-18 :
Practice locally. Participate in instructional leagues while playing games around the county with other girls interested in improving skills, knowledge of the game, and having fun. Information: 410-939-6724.
Unique Physique :

American Canoe Association Training :
A series of canoe training courses are offered throughout the year and are taught by ACA Certified Canoe Instructors. From introductory day classes to rigorous 3-day moving water courses. Skills in paddling, rescue, gear, trip leading, & boat selection.
Eden Mill Nature Center & Park Tours :
The centerpiece of our park is Eden Mill, a 200 year old gristmill. With all gearing & machinery intact, including a power station & impressive dam, Eden Mill makes a fascinating place to tour. The mill is open to the public most Sundays, 1-5pm, April-Oct.
Field Trips :
Eden Mill offers customized field trips for small groups. Trips are specialized to accommodate your group's learning objectives & are appropriate for grades Pre-K through 12.
Hiking :
5 miles of pristine hiking trails are open from dawn-dusk year-round. Trail maps are available at the main kiosk outside the nature center bldg.
Summer Nature Day Camps at Eden Mill Nature Center & Park :
A variety of nature programs that appeal to all ages are offered year-round including public environmental programs, mill tours, children's programs, adult naturalist programs, summer day camps, bird banding & hikes, tracking, plant walks, owl prowls.
Trail Challenge :
Adults; An adult guided hiking program visiting various trails throughout MD, PA & VA; Held once a month; Free.
Twilight Family Canoe Trips :
Guided twilight trips are held Tues & Thurs evenings from May-Sept, all equipment provided including introductory paddling lesson! Trips run from 5:45pm to approximately 8:30pm. Reservations are required. Info: 410.836.3050.
EDGEWOOD RECREATION COUNCIL Phone
Start Smart Sports Program :
Ages 3-5 years. Meets at the Edgewood Recreation and Community Center. Start Smart is an instructional program that helps parents work one-on-one with their children while teaching them the basics of sports: throwing, catching, kicking, and batting. The program focuses on teaching children and their parents basic sport mechanics without the threat of Competition or the fear of getting hurt.
Registration Information: Six(6) sessions. Each session the exercises become more difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement. Parent Orientation Meeting held Friday, 10/9/09, at 10:00am. Program meets Fridays, 10/16/09 thru 11/20/09, from 10:00am-11:00am. Cost: $40.00. Please call 410.612.1606 for more information.
