The Harford County Development Advisory Committee (DAC) is a review group composed of representatives of County, State, Federal and utility agencies. DAC meetings serve as a forum for the review of subdivision and site plans submitted to the Department of Planning and Zoning.

The Development Advisory Committee typically meets the first and third Wednesday of the month. If you are interested in an item on the agenda or would like any other information regarding DAC, please call the Department of Planning and Zoning, Development Review Section at (410) 638-3103 between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The Department also encourages interested citizens to visit the office to discuss plans with staff. No appointment is necessary, but may be beneficial.

At least 2 weeks prior to a DAC meeting, all properties to be reviewed are posted with a notice stating the date, time and location of the DAC meeting. A notice is also published once a week for two consecutive weeks in at least two Harford County newspapers prior to the DAC meeting. Adjoining property owners are notified by Certified Mail.
