BAIN PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDER
Donta Maurice Bain entered a plea of guilty to first degree murder in the death of Brandon Gregory. Gregory was stabbed to death on August 2, 2005 near 1739 Deerwood Court in Edgewood, Maryland. Bain, an admitted member of the Bloods street gang, was identified by witnesses as the person who stabbed Gregory, a member of the Crips gang. The motive appeared to be that Bain had been "dissed" by Gregory.
The plea of guilty was taken by Judge Thomas Marshall. The judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for June 5. Bain continues to be held without in the Harford County Detention Center.
