BASE REALIGNMENT AND CLOSURE (BRAC) - BEL AIR TOWN MEETING:
Meeting held Monday, April 16, 2007
County Executive David R. Craig and Harford County officials held a Community Town Hall meeting to inform residents about the status of BRAC action items that were identified in the BRAC Planning and Advisory Commission report. The latest BRAC figures relating to jobs moving to Aberdeen Proving Ground and estimated population changes for Harford County and the region were presented. At the meeting, the first in a series of community town hall meetings, County Executive David Craig presented the results and findings of the BRAC Planning Advisory Council (BPAC), a committee appointed to study the county’s strategy to support BRAC gains at Aberdeen Proving Ground. BPAC Committee members also attended to address transportation, infrastructure, land use, education, workforce development, community services, and public health and safety concerns.
BRAC Town Hall meetings are free and open to the public. All are encouraged to attend these informative sessions to learn more about the challenges and opportunities of BRAC in the County and surrounding region.
