Restoration Projects
Harford County Water Resources has completed stream surveys for many of the urban streams within the county collecting data related to problems such as erosion, unshaded stream banks, inadequate streamside buffers, and trash dumping. Those problems caused by uncontrolled or inadequately controlled stormwater runoff are ranked based on how severe the problem is, how easy the problem is to correct and how easy it is to access the problem for repairs. This ranking is used to develop individual structural solutions to address the problems. These structural solutions or capital improvement projects include stormwater management retrofits and stream restorations.
The following outlines the capital improvement projects that are being pursued by or have been completed by Harford County Water Resources.
