- EFFECTIVE April 21, 2008: 2006 International Building Code and 2006 International Residential Code (Adopted by Harford County Council Bill 08-03, As Amended) (Contains local amendments to 2006 International Building Code ). Effective April 21, 2008. A copy of the 2006 International Building Code can be purchased from International Code Council (ICC) office by calling 1-800-786-4452. For a copy of Bill 08-03, As Amended, contact the Harford County Council Office at 410-638-3347.
- EFFECTIVE April 21, 2008: 2006 International Mechanical Code (as referenced in the 2006 International Building Code). See the above information to get a copy of the Code.

Rehabilitation:
- Maryland Building Rehabilitation Code COMAR 05.16.01 Update.
On July 16, 2007 the 2006 International Existing Building Code will now constitute the Maryland Rehabilitation Code. A copy of the updated COMAR regulations may be downloaded from the DHCD Code Lynx web site at
http://mdcodes.umbc.edu/dhcd2/rehab-new.htm.
Individuals wishing to use the updated Maryland Building Rehabilitation Code are cautioned to understand the relationship and interplay of current State laws such as the State Fire Prevention Code, Maryland Accessibility Code, the State Plumbing Code, etc. References made by the text of the 2006 International Existing Building Code may not accurately reflect the provisions of existing State laws.
