Sediment Control This section is
responsible for the inspection of any construction activity, within Harford County, which
disturbs more than 5,000 sq. ft. of area. Inspections are performed to verify that sediment control practices
required as part of an Approved Erosion
and Sediment Control Plan are installed per plan, and are maintained and
functioning properly. Sediment is considered a pollutant in the state of Maryland so
construction activities are closely inspected due to their increased potential to generate
sediment. Because a project changes during it's construction life, the sediment
control inspectors perform periodic inspections.
Storm Water Management This section
is responsible for the inspection of stormwater
management facilities to verify that they are constructed in conformance to their Approved Stormwater Management Plan
