Responsibilities: Harford County Highways is responsible for maintaining over 1043.58 miles of Harford County public roads. We coordinate operations through our  Administrative Office at the Hickory II facility located at 1807 N. Fountain Green Rd.
Four District Shops, as listed below, perform road maintenance to include repairing pot holes, sweeping road debris, grading earth roads, clearing debris (tree limbs, dead animals) from roadways, leveling roads in preparation for resurfacing and snow removal operations.		District Shops also coordinate special tasks with our Special Operations section to include bridge repairs, grounds maintenance, road surfacing, ditchline maintenance, road construction, drainage installations, curb repairs, traffic sign maintenance, and road marking.

Please call our Administrative Office with questions or requests for service Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will request your name, address, phone number, and specific location of problem you are reporting. This information is logged in at our dispatch office and directed to the appropriate Highways staff. After normal business hours, please leave a message on our voice mail at (410) 638-3532. After 3:00 p.m. weekdays or on weekends, report road emergencies (stop sign down, tree in road, missing manhole cover) to the Sheriff’s Office at (410) 838-6600.
