HARFORD WASTE DISPOSAL CENTER
3241 Scarboro Road
Street, Maryland 21154
(410) 638-3636
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Saturday: 7am to 3pm

The following information presents the current disposal fees at the Harford Waste Disposal Center.

Effective June 9, 2014 Harford County will be accepting credit cards for residential transactions for the disposal of solid waste only. Unfortunately we can not accept debit cards. Cash transactions will continue to be required for bulk sales of mulch and compost.

Any vehicle not meeting the criteria in the table below shall pay a cash deposit equal to one ton of waste ($70 in FY 14). The vehicle shall then be weighed on the truck scale. After dumping, the vehicle shall be weighed again with the customer being charged based on the net weight of the waste ($70/ton in FY 14). If the net weight is less than one ton, the driver will be reimbursed the difference between the charge and deposit.

All drivers of cars, vans, pick-ups, and trailers must present a valid Maryland driver’s license with a current Harford County address.

Vehicles entering the landfill between the hours of 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. that cannot unload and exit the landfill by 3:00 p.m. will be asked to return on another day at an earlier time to dispose of their solid waste.

Please note that loads of recyclable materials only will not be charged in accordance with the table below. If a load contains items not listed as FREE, the customer will be charged the appropriate fee. Examples of chargeable items include but are not limited to household trash, construction and demolition debris, furniture and mattresses, latex paint, and CRT televisions.

In order to conserve costly landfill space, building and demolition debris will be limited to no more than 25% of the vehicle's capacity for each trip of residential waste brought to the Harford Waste Disposal Center. This material includes new and used lumber, plywood, wallboard, insulation, fence materials, concrete, brick, block, asphalt, and other building materials.
