HISTORY OF WATER AND SEWER
The Department of Public Works was formed under
Harford County Charter, Article IV, Section 40 (amended by Bill No. 88-35), Section 407
and Section 408. The Department of Public Works, Division of Water and Sewer
is responsible
for the operation, maintenance, administration,
planning and engineering of public water and sewer facilities to service over 70,000
citizens of Harford County who reside outside the three incorporated towns.
