Sod Run WWTP- "Top Ten" largest WWTP in
the State, largest north of Baltimore; 20 MGD capacity, currently treating
11 MGD today. An advanced Secondary BNR WWTP, winner of local and national
awards, equipped with a classroom. - 1212 Chelsea Road, Perryman, 21130.
TOURS- 1-50 people; allow one and a half hours minimum which includes an
introductory lecture and video. Limited tour for ages 12 and under.
OPTIONAL EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES-2-5 hour sessions that includes lab and
equipment operation by students.
Sod Run WWTP Biosolids Utilization Project on a local farm.
TOURS-1-50 people limited to approval by the farmer. Allow 30 minutes,
minimum-Sep-Nov or Mar-May only. No utilization during unscheduled work
periods, rain or wet fields. Alternate slide presentation on rainy or
cancelled utilization days.

Abingdon WTP - 10 MGD, largest WTP north of Baltimore, one of
the ten largest in the State. Locally, Regionally and Nationally
recognized as one of the highest quality facilities anywhere.
"State of the Art" equipment and operation, shown in a slide
presentation.
NO TOURS are permitted here due to Security needs
AT YOUR SCHOOL OR ORGANIZATION - 30-90 minute lectures,
demonstrations, slideshow and videos on environmental management, water
conservation, water science, water and wastewater treatment, Bay issues,
septic tanks, wells or water pollution. Ages 4-104, Grades K-12 and
College, we have over 15 years experience in teaching and training.
INSTRUCTORS - We have ideas for educating your students in
water-related environmental science issues. We can be a valuable resource
for a class or science project in ecology, chemistry, water pollution or
protecting our water resources.
