Each year, the Harford County Department of Community Services searches for local citizens who selflessly assist those around them, and honors their service at its annual Harford’s Most Beautiful People Awards Ceremony. Award nominees are volunteers of any age or background living anywhere in Harford County, with one thing in common: They have enriched the lives of our citizens through their acts of kindness and concern.

County Executive Barry Glassman signs legislation enacting the county budget for the fiscal year 2016, after it was unanimously approved by the County Council. County Executive Glassman thanked council members for their support and issued the following statement:
“I am encouraged that the County Council shares my vision for making Harford County stronger. By operating more efficiently and by reducing our debt, we are now able to fund long overdue investments in our valued public safety, education and government employees, without raising taxes.”
