The Harford County Human Relations Commission is a group of 15 volunteer citizens dedicated to “alleviating social problems and promoting equality, understanding and harmonious relations between the citizens of the county.” The County Executive or the Council may provide refer to the Commission, for review and recommendation, any matters related to the Commission’s functions and duties. Members of the Human Relations Commission are appointed by the County Executive for terms that coincide with his and appointments are confirmed by the Council. Members of the Commission are selected to represent all segments of the county population.
