Stir together fun with fitness, add a dash of energy and pinch of endurance, blend well, and taste the benefits of increasing your cardiovascular and muscle fitness and improved flexibility. Add a choreographed, low-impact workout set to the music with which you grew up, and you have a recipe for good fitness through a moderate exercise program. Students may enroll in one or both classes, but a separate tuition is required for each class.

Get personal instruction on the proper use of the fitness equipment and suggestions for exercise programs. Exercise on your own on a recumbent bicycle, treadmill, and free weights. Note: Fitness Orientation is required prior to use of the Fitness Room with an annual fee of $5. Fitness Orientation registration is required one week in advance. A Fitness Orientation and annual $5 fee is required at each separate senior activity center when that centers fitness equipment is used.

Tailored for the beginning student, experience peace and tranquility and strength building through ancient Chinese Tai Chi forms and qi gong exercises that cultivate vitality, balance, and flexibility while learning the basic Yang style short form.

The Yang style short and long forms are fine tuned while students are introduced to the Old Frame Chen style tai chi in this advanced class. Qi gong energy and breathing techniques are further developed along with Ba Gua, Silk-Reeling and tai chi. Prerequisite: Tai Chi 1 or 2 and recommendation of instructor.
