The purpose of the grant program is to:

Enhance the ability of public/private sector organizations to provide human services to its citizens.
Address the resource needs of public/private organizations that are striving to meet the emergency and daily needs of citizens and impacted neighborhoods.

FUNDING REQUIREMENTS:
	Qualifying Applicants must: Be incorporated as non-profit, tax-exempt organizations, 501(c)(3). Primarily serve the low to moderate income and be able to provide documentation on who is served. Serve the low-income, disadvantaged youth, the disabled and/or the homeless. Be soundly managed and financially accountable and provide proof thereof. Hold their activities in spaces accessible to the disabled. Also, activities must be altered to meet the needs of the visually and hearing impaired upon notification of need. Applicants are prohibited from using funding to promote or further non-secular purposes.

	Grant Program FY 2011 Application Calendar: October 26 & 28, 2009 - Information Sessions October 26 - 9-11 am, 2-4 pm Location: Historic Bel Air Colored High School, 205 Hays Street, Bel Air 21014 October 28 - 6-8 pm Location: Historic Bel Air Colored High School, 205 Hays Street, Bel Air 21014 Call the Dept. of Community Services at 410.638.3389 to RSVP. November 2, 2009 - Application available from our site. Grant program information packet and application is available in alternative form. December 2, 2009 - Deadline for applications December 2009 - Community Development Review Board reviews grant applications January 2010 - Community Development Review Board finalizes funding recommendations for County Executive February 2010 - Board recommendations to County Executive April 2010 - County Executive Recommendations to County Council May 2010 - Preliminary Notification to Recipients June 2010 - Award Letters to Recipients July 2010 - Beginning of Fiscal Year 2011. Funds available for use upon grant execution.
