The Office offers no-cost colonoscopies to Harford County residents age 50 to 64 who are under-insured or uninsured and meet program requirements. Call to see if you are eligible.
The Office also provides education and prevention presentations on breast, cervical, colorectal, and skin cancer to organizations, groups, churches, clubs, schools, etc. at no cost. Please call to schedule a cancer presentation.

The Commission is composed of 15 volunteer members. The Commission assembles, analyzes, and disseminates information to help meet the needs of women; studies conditions that demonstrate inequalities and unmet needs and recommends procedures and legislation to remedy inequities; promotes a positive image of women, and helps to provide recognition of their accomplishments. A national not-for-profit organization that supports women who are taking time from full-time paid employment in order to raise their children at home. Mothers and More is for all women dealing with transitions between paid employment and at-home motherhood. It is NOT about opposing mothers who work outside the home. Mothers and More is about respecting, supporting, and advocating for choices in how one combines work and parenting. Many members currently work for pay in some capacity, most on a part-time basis. SEXUAL TRAUMA TREATMENT
Outpatient treatment is provided to all eligible veterans by a team of professionals who have specialized knowledge and experience in understanding the physical and emotional after-math of sexual trauma. Eligible veterans are those men and women who have been sexually assaulted or harassed while in the military or who have a history of sexual assault, rape, or incest. Sparrow House provides a loving and secure living environment for young, unmarried pregnant women. Each resident of Sparrow House participates in a counseling program with a qualified counselor, who visits the home on a regular basis. Sparrow House provides education and training opportunities, including a certified home school program. Each resident takes childbirth classes and receives instruction in homemaking and essential life skills. Each mother and baby recieves complete medical care at professional facilities located nearby; certified obstetricians care for each woman during her pregnancy and through post-natal recuperation; and newborn infants receive pediatric care during the mother and baby's hospital stay.
