Maryland Committee for Children works with parents, child care providers, advocates, employers, and policymakers to expand and enhance the early childhood education and child care available to Maryland's children. Many services developed by MCC are now provided by the Maryland Child Care Resource Network, a statewide network of local child care resource centers (CCRCs). YMCA
The Harford County YMCA provides year round comprehensive child care services. The Campus Child Care Center and the Child Development Center at William Paca Industrial Park in Abingdon provide full child care for children 2-5. Before and after school child care is available in many elementary schools. Also, after school care available in some middle schools. The YMCA participates in the State of MD Purchase of Care Program. Financial assistance available.
