What is Mentoring
MENTORING is a one-to-one relationship between
a caring adult and a young person. A mentor is a wise and trusted
friend and guide, a source of encouragement, a positive role model, a
developer of talents. Your goal should be to help a young person
succeed. You do not need special skills to be a mentor, you just need
to care and be there! If you can volunteer one hour a week, you can
make the difference in the life of a child.
Kids C.A.N. primary mission
is to promote mentoring in Harford County and to identify
and provide opportunities for caring adults to help young
people succeed in life.
