NEW FOUNDATION FUNDING ANNOUNCED

SUNDANCE INSTITUTE DOCUMENTATARY FUND provides grants to filmmakers worldwide for projects that display; 1). Artful and innovative storytelling techniques, 2). Global relevance, 3). Contemporary social issues, and 4). Potential social engagement. Grant applications are being accepted in two funding categories: 1). Development funding is provided to projects that are between development and preproduction, and 2). Production/Post-production funding is provided to filmmakers in various stages of productions and post-production process. Link to full announcement

KICK BUTTS DAY 2012 MINI-GRANTS in amounts of $500 or $1,000 to fund Kick Butts Day events that would not take place if not for additional funding. Kick Butts Day events are scheduled to occur on March 21, 2012 in every state. Link to full amouncement

NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY

HARFORD COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
AND
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (HOME)

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Program are funded through entitlement funds received by Harford County through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  The CDBG Program fund programs and projects which provide decent housing, a suitable living environment and expansion of economic opportunities for low to moderate income persons in Harford County. The HOME Program funds projects which provide decent, affordable housing for low to moderatate income persons in Harford County.

Private, nonprofit organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status, and, in some cases, for-profit entities may be eligible to receive funding under these programs. All proposed programs/projects must align with Harford County priority needs and stategies defined in Harford County's Five-Year Consolidated Plan for 2008-2012, and must meet applicable federal regulations. All selected programs/projects are subject to availability of funding and Harford County's budget review process. Harford County maintains the right to reject or accept proposals, to fund or not fund, or to rduce the amount of funding requested.

Applications are available as of January 4, 2012.  Deadline for submission of application is Friday, February 10, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
