EX-COUNTY EMPLOYEE AND WIFE INDICTED IN THEFT SCHEME
On 12 August 2003, the Harford County Grand Jury completed its review of an investigation of the theft of thousands of dollars of computer equipment and supplies from the Harford County government. Terry Claiborne and Michelle Claiborne were each indicted on charges of Theft over $500, Attempted Theft over $500 and Conspiracy to Commit Theft. The thefts occurred between October 1999 and 21 January 2003.
The indictment charges the thefts of computers, laptops, digital and movie cameras, a projector, and other computer hardare, software and supplies. The investigation was conducted by Cpl. Mike Crabbs of the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Terry Claiborne had been employed with Harford County Government in the Computer Support office.
