HAVRE DE GRACE DRUG DEALER GETS 20 YEAR SENTENCE
Milton Tommy Watters, Jr. was sentenced to serve twenty years in the Division of Correction consecutive to a three year sentence he is already serving. The sentence was handed down in two cases. In the first case Watters plead guilty to Possession of Cocaine with the intent to disribute, second degree assault and driving while revoked. The case arose from a traffic stop on 29 May 2003. The defendant gave the officers a false name. When the police went to arrest him he assaulted the officers. After he was placed in custody 42 bags of crack cocaine and $2,635 dollars were found. The defendant was sentenced to ten years without parole on the felony drug charge, five years forthe assault andsix months for the traffic charge to run concurrent with the first sentence.
Thesecond case was for violation of a probation in a case where Watters had been convicted of felony drug possession in 1999. The ten years in that case will start after the defendant has served the sentence in the first case.
