HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER ARRESTED FOR SEX OFFENSE
Harford County Sheriff's deputies arrested John Joseph Zappola, a teacher at C. Milton Wright High School, today after an indictment by the Grand Jury charged Zapola with one count of Sexual Abuse of a Minor, two counts of Fourth degree Sex Offense and one count of Second degree Assault. The investigation was conducted by the Child Advocacy Center after a complaint by a student at the high school that her teacher had assaulted her. The investigation determined that there was only the one victim although other students were interviewed.
Zappola will be seen by a District court commisioner.
