BOTCHED ROBBERY LEADS TO MURDER CHARGES
The Harford County Grand Jury has indicted Damon Jackson and Demetrius Lovelace for the murder of Alan Zurita on 1 April 2008 along I-95 in Harford County. Jackson and Lovelace are currently being held in the Harford County Detention Center.
Lovelace was charged with first degree murder, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to rob with a dangerous weapon, 2 counts of use of a handgun in commission of a crime of violence, and 2 counts of illegal possession of a regulated firearm.
Jackson was charged with first degree murder, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to rob with a dangerous weapon, 2 counts of use of a handgun in commission of a crime of violence, possession of a handgun by a convicted drug felon and 2 counts of illegal possession of a regulated firearm.
Jackson had been found not guilty by a jury a year ago of similar firearms crimes.
