Membership information
This board consists of the following five members:
- Two representatives of licensed towing companies
- A citizen at large, preferably with a background in towing, transportation, or other related field
- A representative of the Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits
- A representative of the Sheriff's Office

In a brief
- This board will monitor and work with the licensed towing companies in the county.
Description
All appointments are made by the county executive and confirmed by the county council. The members of the board will serve coterminous with the county executive.
Duties
A summary of their duties include:
- By January 31 of each year, the board will submit to the county executive and county council a report evaluating whether the law enforcement agencies involved have properly used the rotation list of licensed towing companies under Chapter 237 of the Code of Harford County.
- The board will hear any appeal from any decision of the director of the Department of Inspections, Licenses, and Permits regarding the issuance, suspension, or revocation of a towing company license.
- The board will set the maximum rates that may be charged by licensed towing companies for the removal of disabled vehicles at the request of a law enforcement agency.
