Public Outreach

What happens to the recyclables after they are picked up at the curb? What are the benefits of recycling? Need help motivating others to participate in a recycling program? The Office of Recycling is available to assist you.

The Harford County Office of Recycling offers a variety of education and outreach programs for local schools, businesses, youth groups, and community organizations. Programs are free of charge and must be scheduled in advance.

Engaging presentations take recycling from the curb to the material recovery facility and back to the products you buy every day! Harford County's Integrated Solid Waste Management program, which includes waste reduction, recycling, composting, and landfilling, will also be explained. Additionally, program participants will discover how their choices and actions play a critical role in conserving our natural resources and landfill space.

The Office of Recycling will work with groups to present a program that meets the specific needs of your audience.

To schedule a recycling presentation for your Harford County school, business, youth group, or community organization, please call 410-638-3417 or email harfordrecycles@menv.com.
