Public Hearing for Harford Transit LINK's FY24 Funding

Public Hearing for Harford County, Maryland’s FY 2024 application to the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for State and federal funds to finance the FY 2024 (July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024) transit service in Harford County.
At this hearing, information will be presented and available for review on Harford Transit LINK’s
FY 2024 Annual Transportation Plan and application to the MTA/FTA for State and federal funds to finance Operational and Capital needs. Requests will be for Section 5307 funds (Operating Assistance utilized for Fixed Route service and ADA paratransit); SSTAP (Statewide Special Transportation Assistance Program) funds service for the elderly and disabled; and Capital and Preventive Maintenance, as well as any other Formula and Discretionary transportation grant programs which may become available during the program year.
Additionally, information will be presented and available for review on Harford Commute Smart’s FY 2024 Rideshare grant application.
The hearing will be held:
- Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the McFaul Activity Center (525 W MacPhail Road in Bel Air), which is served directly by Harford Transit LINK’s Bus Route 6 with connections to Routes 1 and 2 through Harford Mall. Routes 1 and 2 connect with all other routes at Aberdeen Train Station, and additional connection points. All routes may be used to attend the hearing.
