4. Harford County Day of Service

   Harford County Government employees are invited to participate in the 2022 Day of Service program to honor the life and spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Guidelines are:

   • Participation is voluntary.
   • Eligible employees may receive up to 8 hours of administrative leave in exchange for volunteer service at a participating charity.
   • Employees must request administrative leave for their "Day of Service" from their supervisor.
   • Employees must register online and select a volunteer opportunity from the list on this web page (below).  Assignments are not guaranteed, but every effort will be made to accommodate the employee.
   • Participation must be confirmed with the Proof of Participation Form signed by the on-site Volunteer Coordinator and then submitted to their supervisor.
   • Employees who have less than 8 hours of personal leave or less than 40 hours of sick leave are not eligible to participate. Other restrictions apply
