Anita C. Leight Estuary Center Stream Restoration

Update: Construction is underway!

Harford County is planning a stream restoration at this location. The purpose of the project is to improve stream health by stabilizing eroding stream banks. This will involve the removal of select trees to allow access for heavy equipment to regrade the stream into a stable and sustainable shape. Once complete, the entire area will be planted with native trees and shrubs. Collectively, this will establish a flourishing ecosystem for wildlife and an enticing area for outdoor recreation.
