Congratulations to 11-year-old cancer survivor and philanthropist Grace Callwood, Harford's Most Beautiful Person award winner, and now the youngest recipient of a Peace First prize.

Of the more than 1,000 nominees, Grace is one of five young people selected as a 2015 Peace First prize winner. The competition is open to young people between the ages of 8 and 22, who “have taken action to address injustice in their schools, neighborhoods, and communities. Peacemaking demands compassion, courage, and collaborative change.”

Grace is the only Maryland resident and the youngest recipient among this year’s winners. Grace and her family traveled recently to New York to receive her award.
