In 2019 the State of Maryland created an Opioid Restitution Fund (ORF) to receive all money awarded to the State of Maryland through prescription opioid-related legal action. Harford County held several public input sessions to gain insight on the community's thoughts as to how these settlement funds from pharmaceutical companies and distributors should be utilized. These funds are aimed at supporting initiatives that prevent opioid misuse, expand treatment, and strengthen recovery services. This page will highlight the intended uses of the fund as well as provide the public with additional meetings and/or information.
