The Courthouse Rain Garden is a collaborative project between Harford Streams and Harford County Planning and Zoning. Additional partners include Town of Bel Air, Harford County Master Gardeners, Kollar Nurseries, and Ecotone. The purpose of this demonstration project is to improve stream health by removing pollutants from parking lot runoff while providing a large scale example of how a rain garden could be incorporated into commercial or even residential properties; This project not only improves stream health but also improves aesthetics.
