Update: Construction is underway!
The purpose of this project is to improve water quality by converting an existing dry extended detention pond into a submerged gravel wetland. A submerged gravel wetland removes sediment and pollutants from stormwater runoff. The wetland plants provide nutrient uptake, as well as food and habitat for native plants and animals.
